Hello and thank you for choosing Kara's K-9 Waffle Treats! Below you will read a little bit about myself, what motivated me to start selling waffle treats, and what flavor options I offer.

My name is Kara Beron and I am the owner of Kara’s K-9 Waffle Treats. I am a full time Surgical Veterinary Technician and on the weekends, I attend events, festivals and charities all over the MD, DC, PA, NJ & VA areas as a vendor with my waffles.  I am married to a Veterinarian & I have three fur babies at home. Mylo, my husky-lab mix, he is 9 years old. Fritz, my Boston Terrier, who is 11 years old. And last but not least, Suki, my Japanese Chin-Pomeranian mix, and she is 5 years old. They are my life and the biggest reason why I started making these waffle treats. Needless to say, having 3 puppies, a full time job and also having my small business, sure does keep me busy! But I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world!

 

With being a full time veterinary technician, we are always keeping up on information and tips on how to keep our pets fit and healthy. When the FDA issued a warning and alert on many Chinese made treats that I, myself used to buy for my puppies at home, it was enough to motivate me to start make my own waffle treats since I knew exactly what ingredients were going into my batter. Since 2007, 3,600 dogs and 10 cats in the U.S. have fallen ill after eating treats made from China. Of these pets,580 died. My goal is to provide not only tasty but also healthy, all natural, preservative free waffle treats. The waffles are made in a waffle iron so they are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The waffles are made in a waffle iron to give the treat an actual waffle consistency. I offer over 20 different waffle flavors. I also make Birthday Waffle Cakes and put together Christmas Waffle Stockings in December. We are currently in three pet stores but always looking for opportunities to expand and grow!
